What is knit denim?
Knit denim is a type of denim fabric. It is made using bundled dyed indigo, blue-black, sulfur black, etc., knitted yarn and undyed white cotton yarn and other functional yarns, which are woven on a circular knitting machine using different weaving methods or jacquard techniques and special processes to produce clothing fabrics with a washed-out effect. The process is as follows: yarn dyeing (using denim indigo dye, the yarn bundles are unwound into plied yarn and dyed at normal temperature and pressure) - winding - knitting - finishing (through specific types of washing, stone washing and brushing, etc.). Knit denim has better elasticity than woven fabric. Currently, the main varieties on the market include small fish scale loops, large fish scale loops, coarse and fine twill loops, raised twill loops, plain sweat fabrics, etc. In terms of materials, in addition to conventional all-cotton, cotton-polyester, and cotton-polyester-spandex, there are also functional materials such as moisture absorption and perspiration, antibacterial and deodorant, UV protection, and warmth.
